Get a life, get a job, get away Easy come, easy go, easy pay Fool me once, fool me twice, fall for you Fuck it up, fuck it down, fuck a few Hey whatcha gonna do with that? Wait aren't you gonna give it back? Now it's a drug that you won't quit Yeah now you get away with it Yeah now you get away with it Hold me tight, let me loose, I don't know On your marks, ready set, time to go Buying time, buy and sell, by yourself Tongue in cheek, tongue in you, for your health Hey whatcha gonna do with that? Wait aren't you gonna give it back? Now it's a drug that you won't quit Yeah now you get away with it Yeah now you get away with it How do you do? I wanna lay you down Taking you on now don't make a sound Falling in and falling down Welcome to the game I'm done messin' around Hey whatcha gonna do with that? Wait aren't you gonna give it back? Now it's a drug that you won't quit Yeah now you get away with it Yeah now you get away with it

Identity 03:56
Maybe, just maybe this time I will hear you out Give you peace of mind Wish you had told me 'bout the man I would become Now I'm left here dreaming of the days when I was young Mirror, mirror on the wall Can you show me the truth at all? Your reflection staring at me makes me feel so small 3,2,1 lift off now my thoughts begin to fade Calling out for help Identity come to my aid Waiting, I'm waiting for you Make me disappear Won't you cut me loose? Still in pursuit of the truth Tried my hand at this Now I'm running back to you Mirror, mirror on the wall Can you show me the truth at all? Your reflection staring at me makes me feel so small 3,2,1 lift off now my thoughts begin to fade Calling out for help Identity come to my aid I've been abused I'm left confused The baby you wanted to keep I've given up, I'm losing sleep Baby, I'm counting on you Save me, I'm feeling it too Baby, I'm hanging on you Baby, I'm feeling abused Mirror, mirror on the wall Can you show me the truth at all? Your reflection staring at me makes me feel so small 3,2,1 lift off now my thoughts begin to fade Calling out for help Identity come to my aid Mirror, mirror on the wall Can you show me the truth at all? Your reflection staring at me makes me feel so small 3,2,1 lift off now my thoughts begin to fade Calling out for help Identity come to my aid

Hypocrite 03:30
Yeah I hated love But now I'm in the thick of it I don't wanna lose her I'm afraid to be sick of it All the screws in my head Yeah they're rattling loose And then you came in my brain and said I've got a brand new game for you Yeah I'm a hypocrite I've got nothing better to do I'm not faking it I'm over the moon for you I ain't no king of love But I've got an ace up my sleeve The joker's looking at me Oh lord let me be I've got the queen in my court And the jester's there too And then the dealer looked up at me and said Love's always been about playing your cards right So be careful with the one you got Cuz' someone else wants it too Yeah I'm a hypocrite I've got nothing better to do I'm not faking it I'm over the moon for you Yeah I'm a hypocrite Yeah I'm a hypocrite Yeah I'm a hypocrite Yeah I'm a hypocrite

Whiskey 05:23
Something's just not cutting it I need to fill this void I wish that I could lose this crutch But I haven't got much choice Sober just ain't good enough Wash it all away Drown out all my pain Feeling so afraid Of this mess I've made My eyes are getting heavy My stomach's getting weak I'm doing all that I can Just to make it through this week I'll just keep pretending I'm alright Wash it all away Drown out all my pain Feeling so afraid Of this mess I've made

The Enemy 03:49
I want to be let outside the cage that is my head I know I'm emotional and I should stay in bed I know from experience that I have come to find That we have all learned to kill the thoughts inside our mind I'm trying to stay alive but I can't find the reasons why I am to blame for all these things I feel inside A prisoner of these four walls controlling me I am the enemy I stare at the ceiling waiting for something to change Ignorance is the greatest cure for a mind that is deranged I've got a friend of mine who tries to help me out He shows up a lot at night and his name is doubt I'm trying to stay alive but I can't find the reasons why I am to blame for all these things I feel inside A prisoner of these four walls controlling me I am the enemy You wanna know what I am thinking I'll have you know my boat is sinking I'm lost at sea Just let it be Day after day my hope is shrinking I can't find the reasons why I am to blame for all these things I feel inside A prisoner of these four walls controlling me I am the enemy

There's miles of road ahead of us I'm cramped and I'm stuck here on this bus And I'm counting all the things that will keep me sane And though I've been down to hell and back No I can't ignore this simple fact That the wheels on this bus will drive my brain And I know I've got a long ways to go To show you that I'm worthy of your trust Dear mother I wanna learn to make you proud I wanna show you that I will go the distance I wanna be a better son I want forgiveness for what I've done I want the future to erase the past The weight of the world is on my back I beg anxiety please don't attack I feel I'm growing up just way too fast And I know I've got a long ways to go To show you that I'm worthy of your trust Dear mother I wanna learn to make you proud I wanna show you that I will go the distance I'm so tired of yelling at you Can we learn to coexist I'll do anything you want me to do If you promise not to resist And I know I've got a long ways to go To show you that I'm worthy of your trust Dear mother I wanna learn to make you proud I wanna show you that I will go the distance And I know I've got a long ways to go To show you that I'm worthy of your trust Dear mother I wanna learn to make you proud I wanna show you that I will go the distance

I'm on a highway but I'm feeling low My mind says to leave but my heart tells me no I don't wanna hide but you wanna seek The miles stand between us and I feel incomplete And I hear the sound of your voice And now I'm left with a choice And now when push comes to shove Don't leave I'm helpless in love Don't leave I'm helpless in love I'm on a rooftop My feet on the ground I've had enough I'm done messing around If you have something to tell me Don't hide it in shame The reason is the player I'm running from the game And I hear the sound of your voice And now I'm left with a choice And now when push comes to shove Don't leave I'm helpless in love Don't leave I'm helpless in love I'm on a river but my mind's on the land The same old problem I can't comprehend I'm so long gone that my mind's on a ride And the fire of our love Yeah it follows the tides And I hear the sound of your voice And now I'm left with a choice And now when push comes to shove Don't leave I'm helpless in love Don't leave I'm helpless in love Don't leave I'm helpless in love Don't leave I'm helpless in love Don't leave I'm helpless in love

Drop Out 03:25
Day after day I wonder if the future's ours Time is moving slower and the minutes feel like hours Forty thousand down the drain to seal my destiny Lock me up inside my cell and throw away the key Sit down shut up drop out You know what it's about Come on get loud and shout Get out get out get out Waking up from ignorance I'm realizing now The path I want to take is not the one she will allow Trapped inside these walls that leave me restless and misled Trying to break out But I am trapped inside again Sit down shut up drop out You know what it's about Come on get loud and shout Get out get out get out SOS my ship is going down Sinking fast no way to save me now Solving all my problems by the joint Fuck it all man what's the point Sit down shut up drop out You know what it's about Come on get loud and shout Get out get out get out Sit down shut up drop out You know what it's about Come on get loud and shout Get out get out get out Sit down shut up drop out You know what it's about Come on get loud and shout Get out get out get out Sit down shut up drop out You know what it's about Come on get loud and shout Get out get out get out

Lately I've been seeing something Something that is new Headed to a place called nowhere Destination you Open up your eyes my friend and see the embers falling Time to go forget the time The revolution's calling Walking down the street Lady by my side World is falling down around us Everything's alright Everything's alright Waking up from ash and dust I finally know your name Hear the sounds of innocence that left before they came But how could I forget the sirens ringing in the air Making love with no regard for the silence in your stare Walking down the street Lady by my side World is falling down around us Everything's alright Everything's alright Can't recall your face Can't recall your name Left without a trace Isn't that a shame Can't recall your face Can't recall your name Left without a trace Isn't that a shame Walking down the street Lady by my side World is falling down around us Everything's alright Everything's alright Walking down the street Lady by my side World is falling down around us Everything's alright Everything's alright

Memories 06:55
Hey it's me Trying to reach you patiently Open your eyes I'm right here to cut you down to size Hoping and coping with every last word that leaves your mouth Round and round I'm coming back to you don't make a sound If you want to stay here with me Pick me up carry me home If you stumble and find no words to say Don't worry they're just memories anyway Don't worry they're just memories anyway Stop and go One more actor poised to steal the show Dead or alive The ghost that you believe in will survive The streets I used to walk are crying The love affair is slowly dying There's no place like home That's the truth If you want to stay here with me Pick me up carry me home If you stumble and find no words to say Don't worry they're just memories anyway Don't worry they're just memories anyway Yeah I want to go home To the place that I know When I've had enough I'll know Yeah I want to go home Yeah I want to go home Yeah I want to go home Yeah I want to go home Yeah I want to go home If you want to stay here with me Pick me up carry me home If you stumble and find no words to say Don't worry they're just memories anyway Yeah I want to go home

about

After three years (to the day) in the making, Lobby Language is proud to release their debut album Growing Pains. Exploring the themes of traipsing through adolescence into young adulthood, Growing Pains is a chronicle of frontman Noah Klibonoff’s ‘18-22’. The ten song album spans a range of topics like familial struggles, questioning one’s identity, falling in and out of love for the first time, and questioning the system you’re told to thrive in. The musical terrain covered traverses walls of distorted guitars, crashing drums, and howling vocals to tender ballads ripe with lush harmonies and gentle acoustic guitar.

While the album’s title is a nod to it’s lyrical content, the band also chose the name due to the nature of it’s recording process. The sessions were stalled by creative standstills, endless overdubs, and more recently the COVID-19 pandemic. Lobby Language’s tenacious pursuit of the sound in their heads has created a special album that is an exciting and honest listen all the way through.

Growing Pains is out on all streaming platforms and Bandcamp on May 14.
